It is time to act!
When you pray, read, and meditate on the word of God, your faith increases. You start seeing more of His will, while also understanding more of your authority in Christ and His calling for you.
All these gifts are given to us so we can bring heaven down to earth. The question is, what does that look like for you?
What are the things you believe in but you think are not for you? Perhaps you don’t know where to start; or worse, you don’t even try because the fear of judgment is overwhelming. Maybe you say you believe, but deep down, you’re not sure.
Moving by faith requires you to surrender all to God and to move according to what He says and not what you feel. When you trust someone, you fully believe and accept what the other person says without questioning or needing proof; you just know that what that person is saying is true.
This is the way it should be with God. There is no other way apart from what HE says, so that means that what HE says is real today and tomorrow, as it was many years ago or yesterday.
So, start thinking and writing down the things that God has put on your heart to do. What are the things that God says about Him and us? What are those gifts that God has planted in your life, and what are you doing with them?
Note: when you write this down, please do a cross check on how you are fully using them to:
Serve God, the church, your local church, your family, your spouse, to serve your neighbour, your coworkers, strangers, and even your enemies.
Also write down the ways that you can start implementing your gifts so you can start serving in each area. Be creative. It is important to write it down so you are accountable to yourself, and also so that you won’t forget it. It also helps you to keep a track of it, as many times our intentions are in the right place, but we lack action.
For example, remember that dinner you wanted to have with that friend of yours that hasn’t happened yet? Or that neighbour that you want to share the gospel with, but every time that opportunity comes you “don’t have enough time”? Or that visit you wanted to make to the hospital to pray for the sick? Or that desire you have to pray on the streets but you keep postponing it every week?
Some ideas to ponder:
- Talk about God’s words every day, ask God with whom and what.
- Purposely share the Gospel daily with someone (it can be difficult, but if we are alert and paying attention to His voice, and if you are available, He will use you anytime, any moment, every day).
- What talents do you have that can put a smile on someone’s face today?
- Talk to your Pastors and leaders about how you can serve in the church.
- Be hospitable (with consideration for current social circumstances)
- Be Generous
- Tithe and bring offerings
- Fasting is incredibly powerful
- Lay hands on the sick, fully knowing they are healed
- Give words of knowledge if God is leading you to do so.
- Pray for people, call them, meet with them or even on the streets.
- Write songs, poems, books.
- Embark on a new business venture
- Vision and dreams are real
- Share the Word, do something with the Word of God
- Find a new mentor/s and never cease growing
